  1. General

    This Website is owned and operated by Motormoves.com. By ticking the acceptance box on the "place an ad page" you agree that our services are provided strictly in accordance with these conditions and that you agree to be bound by these conditions in their entirety. Interpretation of these terms will be according to the laws of England.

  2. Data Protection

    Any information provided by you is kept confidential and is only passed onto the company whose bid you have accepted. Your information is not passed onto any third party without your explicit permission.

    Licence

    • For the purposes of data protection legislation within the United Kingdom the User hereby consents to the processing of "personal data" by MotorMoves.com(as defined by the Data Protection Act 1998) by submission of his personal information on the Website and MotorMoves.com agrees that it will treat the personal data as confidential.
    • MotorMoves.com shall only use the personal information submitted by the User on the Website for the purposes which the User has consented to and MotorMoves.com shall not sell rent or pass on such personal information to third parties without prior consent of the Users unless required by law.
  3. Limitation of Liability

    Motormoves.com operates a booking service, providing a medium through which a party requiring a service is able to communicate with the provider of the service. As such Motormoves.com is not liable for any loss, damage, injury or any other loss incurred by any party due to the failure of the contractor or any service provider to perform in accordance with the contract.

    For the elimination of doubt, let it be clear that the contract for the moving of an item is between you the customer and the service provider.

    Motormoves.com does not guarantee that an advertisement will attract a bid from a service provider.

  4. Contact with service providers

    You agree not to pass on any contact details to a service provider in advance of an acceptable bid being proposed.

  5. Motormoves.com reserves to itself sole discretion on the acceptance and display of an advertisement.
  6. Complaints
    • Any problems or complaints should be discussed immediately with the service provider. Where a complaint remains unresolved it maybe referred to Motormoves.com who will, as a neutral party, use its best endeavours to assist in the resolution of the complaint. Motormoves.com shall in no way be held responsible should the complaint remain unresolved. The customer's rights under consumer protection legislation remains unaffected.

These conditions of service shall be governed by and subject to English Law

  4. The service provide shall at all times endeavour to deliver service to the clients of MotorMove.com of the highest order.
  5. The bid submitted by the service provider shall in all cases be a definitive pricing to include VAT and any other storage or re-delivery costs.
  6. The service provider agrees that the price bid will be the price charged any additional charges must be justified by:
    • Showing that the pick up and destination points materially changed
    • Or that there was a delay of more than 30 minutes at either the pick up or delivery point
    • That factors material to the job were not fully disclosed by the client prior to acceptance of the winning bid
    • In any event of a price increase the price shall be agreed with the client PRIOR to the commencement of the job.
  7. The service provider shall not hold themselves out, represent themselves or in anyway infer that they are an agent or representative of MotorMoves.com
  8. The service provider shall not hold MotorMoves.com responsible for any action, misrepresentation or default in payment by the client.
  9. The service provider shall at all times maintain such insurances as are required to indemnify the client and the public against any loss or injury whilst undertaking tasks connected with jobs obtained through this site.
  10. When required the service provider shall make copies of such insurances available to Motormoves.com for inspection.
  11. The service provide shall not seek to obtain contact details of advertisers in advance of acceptance of a successful bid for which the service provider has paid.
  12. The service provider shall agree that any information obtained as a consequence of being a member of MotorMoves.com shall remain strictly confidential.
  13. The service provider agrees that in the event that they are found to be in breach of theses terms and conditions Motormoves.com may at its sole discretion:
    • Suspend membership for a period
    • Expulsion from the system and barred from future use
    • Require that the service provider reimburse the client some or all of any fee paid by the client to the service provider

    You agree not to pass on any contact details to a service provider in advance of an acceptable bid being proposed.

These conditions of service shall be governed by and subject to English Law
