What does it cost me to place an advertisement on MotorMoves.com?

Nothing, zilch, nil , absolutely zero.

How can I be sure I will get the best price for my requirements?

The moment you submit your ad it goes to dozens and dozens of car transporter operators across the country. They are will all be bidding against each other to undertake your job. The bidding is transparent and open so you can see exactly what price they are offering to do the job for.

What is the BUY IT NOW PRICE?

If you have a figure in mind that you are prepared to spend on having your vehicle moved you enter that price (don't forget to take VAT at 15% into account) enter that value. Then a service provider can take on the job at that price. Using the BUY IT NOW feature enables you to get the job allocated and undertaken very quickly.

Should service providers consider the BUY IT NOW price you have entered unrealistically low they are entitled to enter a bid at a higher price for you to consider.

Once I have put on a BUY IT NOW PRICE can I change my mind?

You may edit the figure at anytime up until a service provider has accepted the job. Once that is done and the service provider has contacted you are expected to pay that price. If you subsequently try to negotiate the price down or re-advertise the job in the hope of getting a lower price MotorMoves will remove such an advertisement and you will not be permitted to place any further adverts.

If the transporter offers the lowest price will there be any extras to pay?

In order to become a service provider and therefore allowed to bid for your job the operators sign up to terms and conditions that require them to provide a quote that includes ALL costs including VAT. The only occasions when they are permitted to levy any additional charge is if:

They have been delayed in their loading or unloading of your vehicle whether not it was due to circumstances within your control. You are advised to obtain prior clarification of the individual operator's charges for this eventuality.

You have requested that the vehicle be collected or delivered to a postcode at variance with that listed in your advertisement. You are advised to agree any additional cost in advance.

The vehicle is parked in a location which is at variance with the location you have described in you advert or in any other information requested by the service provider.

Be accurate in your advertisement and you will get an honest price and good service.

Will my vehicle be insured whilst in the custody of the service provider?

It is a requirement of MortorMoves.com that the service providers have insurance to cover the vehicles they move at the value you set on it. Motormoves.com does make periodic inspections of insurance documentation but it is ultimately you, the clients responsibility to satisfy yourself that your goods are properly insured.

What information will service provides to bid for my job?

Most of the information required is supplied by you when the place an ad form is completed. However, please bear in mind that the unit collecting your vehicle will be quite large. So are there any access issues at either end of the journey. Are there times when access will not be possible.

Will I be charged for cancellation?

We encourage our service provider to avoid making unnecessary charges. You are advised ask the service provider what their cancellation policy is if there is any doubt in your mind of the vehicle being available for collection.

My car needs to be collected from somewhere where there are release fees to be paid what happens then?

You are responsible for the payment of any release fees. The service provider cannot be expected to pay these in the hope that you will reimburse them. However, by arrangement impounded cars can be collected. Request information from your service provider.

I have a very tight time window for the collection or delivery of my vehicle.

You will be getting the benefit of a substantial discount because the service provider is adding your requirements onto their journey. With the possibility of delays at each of their other drop off points and traffic jams and other factors setting a precise time in a very tight time window is unrealistic. Get your service provider's advice on this point.

Will me vehicle be delivered the same day?

Service providers should tell you at the time of bidding if the delivery will not be the same day as collection. If the vehicle needs to be stored pending onward delivery these costs will be built into the bid and the service provider should provide you with a date of delivery. You are at liberty to reject the lowest bid because the delivery timescale does not fit in with your plans.

What happens if my vehicle is damaged during the delivery process?

Service providers are obliged to have insurance to cover your vehicle against damage. Service providers inspect and record damage at the time of pickup. When the vehicle is delivered there you or a representative should be on hand to inspect the vehicle at the time of delivery. Service providers will advise you of any claim procedure.
